Sometimes I forgot how lucky I am to live in a city as beautiful Savannah. There is history around every corner and so many amazing photo opportunities. One minute you could be standing in the middle of a lush, green park and the next you could be standing in a square surrounded by beautiful Victorian buildings with pink walls.
That pink wall is exactly where I found myself for these pictures.
This pretty, pink wall belongs to The Pink House. This Georgian mansion, which is now a fine dining restaurant, was built in 1771 for James Habersham Jr., one of Savannah’s most important early cotton factors and founding-family members. The Pink House is a popular destination for Savannah ghost hunters.Patrons of the restaurant claim to have found themselves in conversation with James Habersham Jr., who supposedly hanged himself in the basement in 1799. It is said that his restless spirit frequently wanders around his old home on quiet nights.
This beautiful pink wall was the perfect backdrop for one of my favorite purchases of all time! This H&M coat is truly amazing and is the perfect piece for Spring. After seeing on my sweet friend Emily of The Style Hunt, I knew that it needed to be a part of my collection.
I paired it with a pair of classic white skinnies, a textured white blouse and some fun yellow accessories. I felt that the all white outfit really helped the coat to stand out and the pops of yellow brought out the yellow details in my coat.
One of my yellow accessories was these fun tassel earrings. They are such a standout piece and I know that I will be able to do a lot with them this Spring.
If you are ever in Savannah, I encourage you to stop by The Pink House. The food is exceptional, the atmosphere is unique and, who knows, maybe you will even be able to have a conversation with the ghost of James Habersham Jr.!
