Feeling Ready for Fall

So I am just over here sweating in my blog photos because I am so ready for Fall! I bought this adorable dress while on vacation this Summer and knew right away that it would be perfect with my favorite booties and a good denim jacket.

The dress is from an adorable little boutique in Bowling Green, Kentucky called Steel Mill. They have the cutest clothes that fit in perfectly with my boho-loving soul and some of the most amazing home decor. They also have a really amazing price point. This dress was less than $25! My denim jacket is from last year and is from the Mothership… Target! I love shopping at Target because they always have great, quality pieces that fit in with my teacher budget. The clothes are perfect for work and play and they really hold up over the years. And, if you have the Cartwheel App on your phone, you can usually find an extra coupon!

My booties are Carlos by Carlos Santana and I got them from my local Famous Footwear, last Fall. They are the perfect color and literally go with everything. I have worn them with skirts, dresses, jeans and leggings. They also look good with black and brown! They are a suede material so I make sure to spray them with an all weather protection spray every couple of wears to keep them looking great. One of my favorite sprays to use in the Solemates Leather Protector.  It is a super versatile spray that you can use on leather, suede and fabric to protect your shoes from all sorts of nasty weather. I have even used it on a few of my handbags!

I went with some really fun accessories for this outfit. I figured that sense the dress was white, I needed a little color and a little fun to brighten it up! My handbag is a Tory Burch Reva Clutch. I actually bought it at a Saks Off 5th years ago for less than $100. I thought that the colors were fabulous and would go with so much… and I was right! I have used it so much and definitely got my money’s worth out of it over the years. My necklace is from H&M and I got it on sale for $1! H&M already has their jewelry priced super cheap, so when they put it on sale, you really get a good deal! I always make sure to check out the sale jewelry whenever I visit my local store because it is an easy and cheap way to add some life to any outfit!

My sunglasses are also a few years old and a Saks Off 5th purchase. They are Marc Jacobs and were also less than $100. This is another place that I really love to shop because, as you can probably see, I always find really big brand names for a fraction of the cost. I love the big designer names as much as the next girl but I have to work within my budget. As a Mom and a school teacher, I don’t have a lot of extra to work with. Every penny saved matters!

If you have any tips about saving money, I would love to hear from you in the comments below! Until next time my sweet readers!
