BlogMas: A Little Champagne and a Whole Lot of Cozy

If you follow me on Instagram, you may have seen a little sneak peek of something big that I have coming this week!

That something big is BlogMas!

A full week of giveaways for some of my favorite items from some of my favorite shops! This is something that I have been working on for a while and I am so excited to spoil my sweet readers during the most wonderful time of the year! Make sure that you check back everyday from now, until Christmas to see all that I have in store. Each giveaway lasts a quick 24 hours so you definitely do not want to miss out.

First up is a little something from one of my favorite online boutiques, Harper and Jewels. Let’s be honest, being an adult is not always easy. Add in being a Mom to a very active 2 year old and you can get someone who is a little frazzled and a little worn out. Because of this, sometimes champagne for breakfast is just a necessity. Luckily, this sweatshirt makes Champagne for Breakfast totally acceptable and very much accepted! And if you want to make it a little more acceptable, just drink it out of a coffee mug like me. No one will ever know the difference!

To spread some extra holiday cheer, and give a little something to the overworked, the worn out, the exhausted and just anyone who would love a glass, or mug, of champagne with their breakfast, I am giving away one of the comfy sweatshirts. I cannot even begin to express just how soft and cozy this sweatshirt wears. The classic design can easily be dressed up or down so I know it will quickly become a favorite in your wardrobe.

Want to know what you need to do to enter the giveaway? That’s easy! Head over to my Instagram, @beingmrsfowler, and look for the post of this sweatshirt! That post will all have all of the details to enter the main portion of the giveaway. Since this is BlogMas, I am offering and additional entry for everyone who comes to my blog post! Just comment on this post with your favorite Christmas memory and I will give you and extra entry! Super easy! In the mean time, head to Harper and Jewels and check out this super comfy sweatshirt and, if you can’t wait to see if you win, go ahead and make a purchase!

Good Luck Everyone! I can’t wait to read all of your Christmas memories. The winner of the giveaway will be announced over on my Instagram, tomorrow morning, December 18th! I hope you all survive these next few days leading up until Christmas! And if you need a little something extra to give you a boost, remember that it is perfectly acceptable to have Champagne for Breakfast!

Disclaimer: I received a complimentary sweatshirt from Harper & Jewels to promote this giveaway. All ideas and opinion are my own.

Fall Dreams and Field Frolicking

With the stores starting to fill their shelves with pumpkins, pilgrims and leaves (and some of them even Christmas!) and the scent of pumpkin-flavored everything lingering in the air, my heart is starting to yearn for my favorite season… Fall.

While we don’t really get perfect Fall weather in South Georgia, we do get relief from the 90 degree temperatures and a temporary break in the humidity. The leaves fall to the ground, there is a chill in the night air and the days become just a little shorter. The sound of a Marching Band fills in the air on Friday nights as the local football team takes on their opponent and the taste of hot chocolate and hot cider warms our souls. A pot of Mama’s famous White Chicken Chili is bubbling on the stove with warm bread cooling on the counter and everyone seems to be filled with just a little extra love. Clothes are worn in layers while scarves and boots are taken out of storage. Pumpkin Spice is finally back at Starbucks (and everywhere else) and the start of the holiday season is beginning.

To me. the season of Fall is for Family and Friends. The cool nights are spent around bonfires, the meals are heartier and shared with family, and the clothes are worn for comfort and warmth. That is exactly why I love this dress from Modest Maimi. When I look at it I just picture Fall. Every detail… the moss green color, the draping sides, the long-sleeves… it is the epitome of Fall fashion. This particular dress is called the Draping Maxi. It is probably one of my favorite pieces of clothing in my closet. It is beyond comfortable and when I wear it, I can’t help but want to twirl everywhere!

When they get them in stock, they always sell out fast. My advice would be to follow them on Instagram so you can be notified when they are back in stock. Last year, they had them available in quite a few different colors so keep checking their Instagram for updates. It was a bestseller so I know that they re-stock whenever possible!

For this particular look, I paired it with sandals and the cutest necklace from 31 Bits. In the past, though, I have worn it with a pair of booties and an infinity scarf. That gives me a little extra warmth and really changes up the look and feel of the dress. Either way you wear it, it is still an amazing dress and I know that I will continue to wear it for years to come. Make sure you check out Modest Maimi because they have a bunch of cute dresses, even if this one is not currently in stock. Now here is to cooler temps and pumpkin-flavored everything! Hopefully Fall is here sooner rather than later!

I just in case you forgot that I am a Mommy to the cutest little girl, here is a picture to remind you!

#IGinSAV Whirlwhind Weekend

So I am a little late to posting all of the pictures from our #IGinSAV weekend but I am finally sitting down to getting it done. I have started back to work as a teacher and exhausted doesn’t even begin to cover my life lately! But I am getting it all done, even if I am a little sleep deprived!

First off, let me start by saying that the weekend was a HUGE success and so much fun! It was such a thrill to meet so many people that I had been following on Instagram. Instagram has been such a huge part of my life and I have made some truly wonderful friendships. I am so thankful to call these girls my friends!

The weekend kicked off with a Kendra Give Back Party at Kendra Scott. We raised money for the Dwaine & Cynthia Willett Children’s Hospital of Savannah. We were able to enjoy Sips and Sweets while we shopped for some new Sparkle, but, most importantly, we were able to Socialize! Here are some of the lovely ladies that attended the event:

This is Heather of Sweet Tea Jubilee Blog. She if full of Southern Charm and just as sweet as the tea that her blog is named after!

This is my sweet friend Sara. She is super sweet and is a yoga guru! You can check her out on Instagram at BlondiesOnTheGo!

This is Natasha of Moody Girl in Style Blog and I just love her! She has the best sense of style and a killer wardrobe!

This beauty is Meredith of Tongue in Cheek Chic Blog. She is just as beautiful inside as she is outside and has the best style.

And of course I can’t forget my Bestie and fellow hostess, Julia of Glitter and Juls Blog! This weekend would not have been possible without her and she is a huge reason everything was so successful!

The next day, a few of us went to lunch and went shopping. It was fun to explore Savannah and just do fun, girlie things! Our babies even got to hang out! The beauty side bride is Sarah of My Lifes Cadence Blog. I absolutely love her and her family and her little girl is very close in age to Vivi! It was so fun watching them play together! The little boy is Levi and he is the son of Julia! Levi and Vivi are already great buddies and we love getting them together so this weekend was no exception!

And a girl’s day is not complete without a little coffee! Thankfully we had the cutest cozies from Cozy Pants to decorate our cups that were more than perfect for the weekend!

Later that night, Julia and I rewarded ourselves with a Mom’s Night Out! It was nice to just get out of the house and enjoy and evening together!

We finished off the weekend with a fabulous brunch at SoHo South Cafe. This is the cutest little restaurant with the best atmosphere. The SoHo Classic Combo is seriously the best Grilled Cheese that I have ever eaten and it is paired with the most perfect Tomato Bisque Soup. If you ever have the pleasure of visiting you must order that off the menu!

It was truly an amazing weekend that was full of new friends and great memories! Be sure to check out everyone’s blogs and instagrams for tons of life, style, beauty, fitness and fashion tips! Here is a list of everyone who attend with their Instagram linked:

Totally Tie-Dye + Giveaway Alert!!

If you are a recent follower to my blog, I can tell you that I have a slight love affair with anything boho. If you have been following for a while, well that is not new information! Needless to say, when I saw a tie-dye tunic, my heart began to swoon!

This tunic is from one of my newest faves, Pink Poodle Fashion. This online boutique has some of the cutest clothes and the best price points. I literally want like everything in the shop! This tunic is super lightweight so it is great for the Summer but I know that it will easily transition into the Fall!

I paired the tunic with white, high-waisted shorts from Charlotte Russe. I have very long legs and I loved that these shorts were short without being too short. The Mom in me just can’t pull off the booty shorts! Not to mention I am always scared I am going to run into a student when I am out and about! For my shoes, I went with classic, black gladiators. This particular pair was a steal at Forever 21 for less than $20!

I didn’t go too crazy with my accessories. My necklace is from Earthbound Trading Company. If you are a boho-lovin’ lady like me, I strongly encourage you to go check out their jewelry selection. Some of my favorite necklaces have been purchased from here and they are always having a sale. Even if their jewelry is not on sale, it is always reasonably priced and there is always a clearance selection. Most of the time, the clearance jewelry is on sale for BOGO! This particular necklace was on clearance and I only paid around $7. My handbag is a Target find and I really need to use it more! I always forget that I have it, which is a shame! It has such great detail and the tassels are totally on point.

So I mentioned that I have a slight obsession with Pink Poodle Fashion. Well get ready because I am about to pass on that obsession to all of you! Head on over to my Instagram @beingmrsfowler to check out a fun giveaway that I am hosting with this adorable boutique! The winner will get to pick any item that they want from the shop for FREE! Want an extra entry? Simply comment below with you favorite item from their online shop! Good Luck! And Happy Shopping!

What the Teacher Wore: An Instagram Recap

So I am long overdue with an Instagram recap of my all of my outfit posts so I wanted to take some time and posts some of my favorite outfits that I have worn lately!

Blue Hues

I loved all of the blue in this outfit! It was such an easy look to pull off and the blue brought out the blue in my eyes! The top and necklace are both from TJ Maxx and were under $40 together! My pants are from NY and Company. My shoes are actually monogrammed and are from Marley Lilly! They are super cute and come in a variety of colors! My watch is Michael Kors and my bracelet is from one of my fave Etsy shops, Sage K and Co!

Hashtag Momlife

Now that I am a Mommy, I am all about some comfortable clothes, and this look definitely did not disappoint! My sweatshirt is just from Wal-Mart and I bought the next size up so that it would be oversized. This made it perfect to wear with my fave Target leggings! Seriously, Target makes the best leggings! The decal on the sweatshirt is an iron-on that I purchased from the Etsy shop Glitter and Juls. My over-the-knee boot socks are from Target and my boots are from Belk. My necklace is actually a teething necklace and it is by Mama and Little. My favorite thing about this outfit is my Marauder’s Map Tervis Tumbler! I am a total PotterHead!!

Totally Tassels

This fabulous tunic is from a local boutique called Honeysuckle and Vine. If you live in the Savannah, GA area, I urge you to go check them out! They are located inside the antique store Two Women and a Warehouse and have some of the cutest clothes and the best deals! I only paid $15 for this tunic! My leggings are, of course, Target and my booties are Carlos by Carlos Santana from Famous Footwear. They have been my go-to shoes lately!

Pattern Mixing Pro

I am all about some pattern mixing so this outfit was perfect for me! My tunic is from Nordstrom and I got it on sale for $8! My long cardi and scarf are both from Wal- Mart! Say what?! My leggings are Target (le duh!) and you just saw my booties above… told you they were my go-to! My necklace is from a local boutique called Genealogy and they have the best jewelry! Everything is so unique! Lucky for you, you can also shop them online!

The last look features a necklace made by me!! And the great news is that you can order one for yourself!! Just go check out my Etsy shop, MegEMays! I have it for sale in other colors or you could even request something custom! The rest of my look features lots of blue hues. My pants are from NY and Company, my button-up is Old Navy and my blazer is thrifted from my local Goodwill. My lace-up flats are also from Old Navy!

This is just a few of my latest looks, but remember you can see them daily if you follow along with me on Instagram! Just check me out as BeingMrsFowler!

The T-Shirt Trilogy: The Fashionista

I have had so much fun styling my classic jeans and white tee for the T-Shirt Trilogy Challenge I did with my friend and fellow blogger Julia of Glitter and Juls. A pair of jeans and a white tee is something that every woman has in their closet so I really feel like this challenge was beneficial to a lot of people!

For my final look I decided to go a little boho.

I cuffed my jeans at the bottom to change it up a little and added my favorite ankle boots. I topped off the look with a beautiful kimono style cardi, a fun handmade necklace, a pair of sunnies and a floppy hat. Here is all the details:

Tee- Old Navy

Jeans- Madewell

Cardigan- American Eagle

Hat- Forever 21

Sunnies- TJ Maxx

Fringe Crossbody- Old Navy

Necklace- Dashing Darlin

Booties- Carlos by Carlos Santana from Famous Footwear

I hope that you have enjoyed all of my looks!! Let me know which look was your favorite!! I love to read your comments!!
