Bloggers FALL For: A Look Back

I recently had the privilege to team up with some fabulous blogger babes to share some our favorite fashions for the Fall. It was so much fun! I not only got a lot of great style ideas, but I also made a lot of great new friends. I really love how the world of social media can bring people together. It is crazy to think of a time before we were blessed with this privilege. I would probably have never come into contact with these wonderful ladies! While it can be stressful at times, I love the world of social media and all it has added to my life. But, to get back on topic, here is a look back on the trends we highlighted!

Plaid

We started off by sharing everyone’s favorite: plaid! Plaid is such a classic statement. You can dress it up or down and I know it will remain in style for years to come. Whether it is a shirt, scarf or even pants, everyone needs a little plaid in their lives!

Braids

I love how a braid can add a little something extra to any hairstyle. With just a few twists of your hair, you can take a basic look to a glam one. They can easily be implemented into most hairstyles and they are super easy to do! My favorite way to wear them? With my favorite messy up-do!

Leopard

Leopard is probably one of my all-time favorite prints to wear. I am constantly looking for ways to implement it into my outfits. I truly believe that leopard is a neutral so why not wear it as much as I can?! These leggings are so fun to wear and they really made a statement with this outfit.

Long Cardi

The long cardi is probably my favorite newer trend. They have been around for a few years now but have really been popping up everywhere this season. I love how they pull an outfit together making it more polished and put-together. Plus, they are like walking around in a comfy bathrobe!

Bold Lips

This trend is something that is pretty new for me. I have always been scared of a darker lip because I felt that it washed me out. After trying a few different reds though, I realized that there really is a red for every skin tone. I love the statement that it makes and how it accents one of my best features: my smile!

Bloggers FALL For Long Cardis

Fall weather is upon us here in Savannah, Georgia so most days you can find me layering in my wardrobe. Lately, one of my favorite ways to layer is with a long cardi. I love how cozy they make me feel. I mean, I literally feel like I am wearing a more polished bathrobe with my outfit. It doesn’t get more comfortable than that!

img_2669

This week in our bloggers link-up we are all styling our favorite long cardis. While I own quite a few, this is one of my favorites because I love the rich cranberry color. It just screams fall and really adds a pop of color to my outfits. The best thing about this cardi is the price tag! I got it a Wal-Mart of all places for less than $18! It is a great quality and very well made, especially considering the price tag. It is definitely worth checking out next time you are there for a grocery run!

I paired my cardi with an adorable plaid shirt dress that I also found at Wal-Mart. The Faded Glory line has been on point this season and I have found so many great things to add into my fall wardrobe without breaking the bank. They are very well made and look a lot more expensive than what I am paying. Everything run pretty true to size so I will link a few things below so you can check them out and order for yourself!

For my accessories, I went with a few current staples: a floppy hat, a choker, booties and leopard print. I strongly encourage you to add at least one, if not all, of these accessories to your wardrobe for this fall and winter. They truly are classic pieces that do a great job of adding a little something extra to your outfits. While you are at Wal-Mart checking out the Faded Glory clothing line, be sure to head over to the accessories and stock up! They have chokers for less than $4 and floppy hats for less than $12! This Momma loves a good deal so those prices are right within my budget!

Bloggers FALL For Bold Lip

The fabulous Elizabeth Taylor  once said, “Pour yourself a drink, put on some lipstick, and pull yourself together.” An easy to way to dress up an outfit for Fall is with a bold lip. For the last linkup in our #bloggersfallfor series we are showcasing a bold lip. I love how just a little lip color can warm up your outfit and make you look put together. You could be having the worse day and with a little lipstick, suddenly things don’t seem so bad.

For my bold lip, I went with  the Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche lipstick in the color Beetroot. I love the rich, red color and how it adds a fun splash to my outfit. It also matches perfectly with my necklace and the Southern girl in me is all about some matching. I love this lipstick because it is super hydrating and very pigmented. It lasted all day, even after giving my sweet baby girl kisses. It also smells heavenly with warm, citrus notes.

Since I went with a bold lip, I decided to do a very neutral outfit, and by neutral, I mean all white. This was a look from this past summer but I love breaking the rules and wearing something like this in the Fall. Throw on a blazer and you can stay warm and style look polished and put together. A blazer can also help break up the mono toned color palette giving you a little more versatility through the season. I have a great cranberry blazer that would look perfect with this outfit for a weekend lunch with friends or a classic black for drinks with the girls. Either way, you are not limited to only wearing this in the Spring and Summer. My necklace is definitely a stunner and is from Nest Jewelry. They are the makers of the original stone statement necklace and each necklace is handmade from natural stones. It is truly beautiful and adds so much to my outfit.

Bloggers FALL For Leopard

One of my favorite patterns to wear is, hands down, leopard print. When I found out this was one of the trends that we were focusing on for our Bloggers FALL For link up I was thrilled! I  love finding new was to wear this versatile pattern so I could not wait to see how all the other Blogger Babes styled this wild print!

For my splash of leopard I went with this adorable leggings from Target. I got them last year but I will find some similar pairs and link them below. I really wanted the leggings to stand out do I paired them with the cozy white tunic. I got it from my local Wal-Mart for less than $14! That is comfort that anyone can afford!

I knew my outfit needed a little something extra so I decided to brighten it up with a bright blue color. I have had these heels since my days of working at Nine West when I was in college and they are still some of my favorites. They are the prettiest blue suede color and are actually pretty comfortable with their platform. They have just the perfect amount of peep-toe and definitely dress up any outfit. I have also had my necklace for a while and I love how the blue matches perfectly with shoes. The necklace is Vince Camuto and I purchased it my local Belk. Belk has a great clearance jewelry section so if you have one in your area, you definitely need to it out!

This is such a fun pattern to style because leopard truly is a neutral print. It matches with almost everything and really gives an outfit a little something extra. I have this print in shirts, shoes, handbags, jewelry and sweaters. Leopard print truly is a classic and has remained in style for years. It looks great on everyone and can easily be implemented into an outfit. Want some other ideas for how to style this wild pattern? That is way this perfect basic is the perfect way to start out a weekly fall trend linkup! Each week has a different theme and we will all style that theme according to our personality. This week the perfect fall plaid is featured and I am loving everyone’s looks!

img_2537

For my plaid trend, I went with the classic button-up. What is great about a button-up is that they can literally be worn by anyone. With a variety of shapes, style, material, color and patterns, there is literally something for everyone, no matter their body type.

img_2553

My plaid is super affordable and was purchased from Wal-Mart for less than $13! I love the color palette because the grey is unique and unexpected. I paired my plaid with a pair of destroyed denim from American Eagle to give it an edgy vibe.

img_2549

img_2518

Playing on the edgy vibe of my denim, I went with a fun, stud bag and one of my favorite Kendra Scott rings. The Naomi three-finger ring says I mean business with a touch of druzy glam. My watch is Michael Kors and really stands out in this bright, blue color. My booties were purchased from TJ Maxx and I love the mule style. It is a really unexpected shoe style, especially for the fall, so I love the extra detail that it adds to my outfit. They are a beautiful grey suede making them the perfect neutral!

The great thing about all these pieces is that something similar can be found at almost any store. They are all classic pieces with a little character so they will remain in style for years to come! I love the versatility of each piece and how I can easily use them with other outfits in my closet.
