A Winter Floral Statement

So it has been a while! Between myself and Vivi being sick as well as seeing family for the holidays, I have been a little slack on blogging. But never fail, I am back and ready to share with you some fun holiday looks! First up? Fabulous florals!

I love this dress because the colors are so rich and warm. Dresses like this make florals totally appropriate for the Fall and Winter. In fact, I would rather wear florals this time of the year because it is not expected. I know that I am really going to stand out and make a statement.

This dress is super on point for the season because of all of the details. The bold floral pattern, the criss-cross detail, the bell sleeves… they all help this dress to stand out. Because of all the details on the dress, I kept my accessories very simple. Just my go-to watch, a cute handbag and my favorite booties!

The length of this dress also makes it possible to wear this dress year round. I can easily add leggings and a cardigan or chunky sweater to make this more appropriate for the Winter months and a pair of sandals would work to wear this in the Spring! You could also wear boots instead of booties for a completely different vibe. Personally, I think a great pair of fringe boots would totally speak to the boho lovers heart!

I love dresses like this because they really are a staple in my wardrobe. They are quick and easy to throw on and I still look put together and polished! As a busy Mom, that is super important in my book. They are also super comfy, which makes chasing a busy one-year old not quite as difficult!

Back to Basics

The seasons latest trends are always fun to wear but sometimes its nice to just get back to the basics.

I love wearing fun patterns and bright colors but my love language will forever be neutrals. There is something about throwing on a classic stripe dress and cozy cardi that just makes me feel like, well, me.

I feel comfortable and when I am comfortable then I am confident. Confidence truly is the best accessory that a person can wear. You walk taller, smile brighter and shine a little brighter.

I have had this dress from years and I got it on clearance at Target. It is extremely versatile and easily transitions through all the seasons. I paired it will knit cardi from the Gap and some cute ankle booties that were also from Target.

I kept my accessories classic. A simple leopard crossbody by Vera Bradley and a classic Rayne necklace by Kendra Scott was all that I needed to pull this look together. I did wear a fun color in the necklace though. It is Spring after all! My sunnies were purchased on my Honeymoon cruise to the Bahamas and I love the design on the frames. They are a classic tortoise shell print so they go with a lot of different items.

What is in style will constantly be changing and trends will come and go but it is pieces like this that will remain. Sometimes it is just good to get back to the basics.

What the Teacher Wore: An Instagram Recap

So I am long overdue with an Instagram recap of my all of my outfit posts so I wanted to take some time and posts some of my favorite outfits that I have worn lately!

Blue Hues

I loved all of the blue in this outfit! It was such an easy look to pull off and the blue brought out the blue in my eyes! The top and necklace are both from TJ Maxx and were under $40 together! My pants are from NY and Company. My shoes are actually monogrammed and are from Marley Lilly! They are super cute and come in a variety of colors! My watch is Michael Kors and my bracelet is from one of my fave Etsy shops, Sage K and Co!

Hashtag Momlife

Now that I am a Mommy, I am all about some comfortable clothes, and this look definitely did not disappoint! My sweatshirt is just from Wal-Mart and I bought the next size up so that it would be oversized. This made it perfect to wear with my fave Target leggings! Seriously, Target makes the best leggings! The decal on the sweatshirt is an iron-on that I purchased from the Etsy shop Glitter and Juls. My over-the-knee boot socks are from Target and my boots are from Belk. My necklace is actually a teething necklace and it is by Mama and Little. My favorite thing about this outfit is my Marauder’s Map Tervis Tumbler! I am a total PotterHead!!

Totally Tassels

This fabulous tunic is from a local boutique called Honeysuckle and Vine. If you live in the Savannah, GA area, I urge you to go check them out! They are located inside the antique store Two Women and a Warehouse and have some of the cutest clothes and the best deals! I only paid $15 for this tunic! My leggings are, of course, Target and my booties are Carlos by Carlos Santana from Famous Footwear. They have been my go-to shoes lately!

Pattern Mixing Pro

I am all about some pattern mixing so this outfit was perfect for me! My tunic is from Nordstrom and I got it on sale for $8! My long cardi and scarf are both from Wal- Mart! Say what?! My leggings are Target (le duh!) and you just saw my booties above… told you they were my go-to! My necklace is from a local boutique called Genealogy and they have the best jewelry! Everything is so unique! Lucky for you, you can also shop them online!

The last look features a necklace made by me!! And the great news is that you can order one for yourself!! Just go check out my Etsy shop, MegEMays! I have it for sale in other colors or you could even request something custom! The rest of my look features lots of blue hues. My pants are from NY and Company, my button-up is Old Navy and my blazer is thrifted from my local Goodwill. My lace-up flats are also from Old Navy!

This is just a few of my latest looks, but remember you can see them daily if you follow along with me on Instagram! Just check me out as BeingMrsFowler!
